Kent Allen Ulmer, age 79, July 10, 1945-January 17, 2025. He died peacefully at home from COPD.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle to the luckiest family in the world. Kent was a truly good and thoughtful man with a wonderful sense of humor. He enjoyed classic horror movies with Svengoolie and Agatha Christie movies. He loved playing bingo with friends and was a huge fan of Snoopy and Woodstock. He was a life-long, loyal Cubs and Bears fan through thick and thin.
He will be missed by anyone who knew him well.
He is survived by his wife, Martha (Walter) Ulmer; daughter, Jennifer (Benjamin) Brown; and grandchildren, Samuel, Kathryn and Matthew Brown of Channahon.
Also survived by his brother, Ronald Ulmer of Normal; and sister, Janet Ulmer of Darien; as well as cousin, Kathleen Steinmann of Boston.
Preceded in death by his grandson, Joshua Kent Brown and both parents, Rudolph and Ruth Ulmer.
He served in the United States Army. He worked for Chase Bank and First Student Transportation in Westmont.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Channahon United Methodist Church, 24751 W Eames Street, Channahon, IL 60410 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service to be held at 11:00 a.m.
