Pamela S. Reed

Pamela S. Reed, age 68, at rest on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at Lightways Hospice in Joliet.

Pamela is survived by her brother, Jeffrey W. (Carol) Reed; nephew, Sam J. (Kim) Reed; niece, Taylor (Jordan Griffin) Reed; great-niece and nephews, Victoria Reed and Reagan Reed and Jaxson Reed; special friends, Terri O’Connell and Connie Rice.

Preceded in death by her parents, William S. and Wanda (nee Partridge) Reed; maternal grandparents, Cecil and Faye Partridge; paternal grandparents, Gladys and Carroll Reed.

Pamela was a devoted volunteer for National Association for Mentally Ill in Will County. She was an animal lover and cherished her pets dearly. She was articulate, kind and loved reading and writing. She enjoyed working at Cornerstone in Joliet and cherished the friendships she made over the many years.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Pamela’s name to Cornerstone Services of Joliet, NAMI Will County or National Diabetes Association would be appreciated.

A celebration of Pamela’s life will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 40 Houbolt Rd, Joliet, IL 60435, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Per Pamela’s wishes cremation rites have been accorded.
