Richard Alan Busbey

Richard Alan Busbey, Age 71, a resident of New Lenox, passed away on March 12th, 2025.

Beloved father of Sean (Esmeralda Clack) Busbey, Stephanie (Victor Jr) Salazar, and Katrina (Zafar) Khudayberdiev. He is also survived by his loving brother, Charles (Elene) Busbey; nephew, Christopher (Sonya Strenge) Busbey; niece, Lauren Thompson; niece, Elizabeth (Lucas) McDonald; nephew, Andrew (Kade) Lopez; nephew, Jereme (Natalie Walters) Mitchell; and six grandchildren; brother-in-law, Lynn (the late Kate) Gilmore. 

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Wayne and Beverly; step-father, James Eugene; and siblings, Kate Lopez-Gilmore and John (Mi Yo). 

Richard was an avid salesman and enjoyed live music, especially the Allman Brothers Band.

Richard will be laid to rest at Elmhurst Cemetery in Joliet, IL. Memorials in his name can be made to Lightways Hospice and Serious Illness Care (lightways.org) or the charity of your choice.
