Virginia Baron

Virginia Baron (nee Niemiec), age 80, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025.

Virginia graduated from Indiana University, where she laid the foundation for a successful career. She dedicated her professional life to working for the State of Illinois.

Virginia had a deep love for traveling, always seeking new adventures and experiences across the globe. She was an avid collector of antiques, with a keen eye for rare and beautiful items that filled her home with history and charm. In her free time, Virginia enjoyed tending to her garden, cultivating both beauty and peace in her surroundings. She was also a tennis player, a sport she enjoyed for many years.

Virginia’s kindness and generosity will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Virginia is survived by her children, Matthew (Allison) Baron and Jennifer (Jeffrey) French; grandchildren, Evan, Jeffrey Jr., Victoria, Avery and Emily; brothers, Thomas (Kathy) Niemiec and Lawrence (Sandy) Niemiec.

Preceded in death by her father, Walter Niemiec and her mother, Genevieve Niemiec.
